Saffron-crested Tyrant-Manakin (Neopelma chrysocephalum)

Another one from Peru, this was taken in the white sand forest near Iquitos, where it is one of the commoner "specialities" of the area. Tricky lighting conditions as usual in the forest, and lack of flash didn't help, but hopefully I will nail this one next time.

My books claim that this species should not occur in Peru. Maybe the books are wrong, maybe there has been a split of some species, or maybe it is just an honest mistake. I have raised the issue in a thread in the ID forum http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=123293.
