Not a great deal over the Wetlands this arvo and a pair of these beautiful Kites the only Raptors
Too much water and no muddy margins for many of the usual birds although I saw a number of Glossy Ibis but was unable to get close enough for a shot

The only shot I have of this bird is in flight, at distance and if I only managed one shot like this, on an otherwise fruitless birding day, I'd be well happy Ken. It's a stunner, the detail is fantastic and those eyes!!! Superb and a favourite for me.
 
Looks very similar to the one we have over here!!!! Small world!!!! Beautiful capture of this keen sighted Kite!!! Love the way they hover in the air before diving in!!!!

Oh my but he's handsome!!! I love those orangey-red eyes, such a contrast in that white face.
