Aggregating Anenome (Anthopleura elegantissima)

Two similar species of Anthopleura are possible here: Starburst Anenome (A. sola) or Aggregating Anenome (A. elegantissima). In fact they were considered to be the same species until the Starburst Anenome was described as a separate species in the year 2000. Starburst grows alone while Aggregating grows in colonies. This one was in a colony.
