Singing Yellow Wagtail, We noticed this strange behaviour whereby the Wagtail throws back its head as it begins to sing. Couldnt capture it totally each time. Maybe its a part of the courtship......

One of my favourite species. I was watching them do the same thing when I was out this morning. Head thrown back and at a slight angle as it starts to sing. You've caught the pose, just not the bill open.
