Spiny Starfish (Marthasterias glacialis)

this starfish also appears coloured yellowish or redish,has a soft body.and needs to be handled with care as its prone to sheding its legs. It grows to twent five to thirty cm and up to seventy in deeper water

theres some more i might post for you KC.i seem to have rediscovered an enjoyment in rock pooling and the rocky shore thats been bypased for years.So its like a whole new thing learning the names of the familiar discovering so much new.I just love it
