Stonechat (Saxicola rubicola)

Stonechat in nice early morning light. One good thing about winter is that you don't have to get up at silly am to catch the sun before it gets too high, as long as there is some sun.

This was taken with the x2 converter which rarely produced decent results on the previous version of the 600mm f4, but on the new version I have no hesitation using it, provided the light is half decent.
