Stripe-tailed Hummingbird (male) - Eupherusa eximia
I recently had the good fortune of birding in Costa Rica for two weeks. What an amazing birding destination. The challenge photography-wise is quite something. Never did I change settings on my camera as regularly as I had to there. Here is the first of several photos I would like to share with you from my trip.

This beauty is best identified by its rufous wing patch, and although it does have a striped tail, this is only seen when the bird fans its tail.
I absolutely loved seeing hummingbirds and could spend all day watching them.
