The Suffolk Serapias (Serapias bergonii)

A favourite from the summer. After quite a bit of time attempting to find out where it grew, I managed to find the UK's rarest orchid. I don't know about the ghost orchid, but this orchid, which I have identified as Serapias bergonii, is now down to a single plant in the UK. There used to be two of them, but people weren't careful with where they were standing. This is the UK's first record of this species...with obvious doubts about how it got there
