Well, why not? (Phasianus colchicus)

I don't ever seem to see pictures of Pheaant - perhaps no one likes them - they are a bit stupid. Living in the country I spend most of my time trying not to run over them. But they are rather beautiful and I took this picture when walking by the canal the other morning.

Why not indeed! Very nice, Kim, love the colours :) I saw one in a tree and panicked. All the wrong settings!
 
They are marvellous birds, Kim. With the most beautiful of feathers. I guess some frown upon them, because they were introduced to this part of the world som 150 years ago and spread into the wild. But they are not the only such species. Lovely capture! :up:
