What is it? (?)

I took this on the shore of the Lake but I can't work out what it is. I am sure it will be very obvious to some of you so please let me know thanks Julien

Not that obvious. It does appear to be a juvenile Rallid. My best guess would be a juvenile Gallinula tenebrosa (Dusky Moorhen).
 
thanks Steve, I did wonder if it were a moorhen, but there were certain things about it that didn't seem quite right.
