Why so sad??
Walking in the BotGdns this afternoon I heard the metallic 'ting' ... 'ting' sonar-like call of the Bellbird / Bell Miner. Difficult to see in the foliage until they move (i.e. fly away) because of their distracting call which seems to come from almost every direction. Finally located this little thing looking so sad. Maybe it lost its 'ting'. It will be fun to return in later months to witness the riot of sound when they are feeding their young although I'll need ear-plugs!

Very nice shot, he does indeed look a little sad.

Very elusive bird Broc! None in my area sadly! Thanks for sharing!

A slightly "frumpy" look there, it seems to have had one of "those" days.. Great shot,Happier Birding!

It looks like a young one to me. You are correct about them being difficult to photo. Not my favourite bird but this is a splendid photo. Thanks.
