Winter Aconite

Winter Aconite (Eranthis hyemalis)

About 50 of these pretty flowers coming up with just 2 open for a photo, probably due to the very cold weather of late. On a mild sunny day they open fully and look great.
Apparently introduced from Europe in 1596 and first recorded in the wild in 1838, so they have been "wild" for a long time now.
This is common in England but uncommon in Kent and usually found in parks and churchyards.
