Yellow Billed Magpie (Pica nuttalli)

Not the greatest picture, but I love the irridescense from the wings and tail. They are common in my county, but they are supposed to be rare. I find it more difficult to find the regular American Magpie.
Habitat
agricultural grassland
Location
Yolo county, California
Date taken
April 2007
Scientific name
Pica nuttalli
Equipment used
Canon Eos Rebel 300mm
We don't see many pictures of this local bird... thanks for sharing it!!! It is good to know they are common in the areas where they are found!

I have seen european magpie. This is more color ful. Thanks for posting this and also commenting on my post. I did not feel any scent of the kurunji flowers when we were going round there. That morning it had rained. So I am not sure of scent.
