I started off with nothing and I've still got some
Cricket Marsh viewable from West Bank is last message I got.
saw it this morning from the visitor centre on the mound pops up then disappears for a while it was very close to the spoonbills way out in the marshes not visible i believe from any hide but may be wrong it was nice to see short eared owl fly over the eye field early morning regards Stewart
A fantastic report Sue, to a country I am very much interested in visiting!
Looking good for some american waders today, hoping to try my luck in the Yare valley. Really enjoyed your trip report also Sue, some great photos on your blog.
Was thinking the same Daniel, on both counts! I have somewhere in mind to try for Waders later today. Broad-billed Sand would be a good bet!
Cheers,
Jim.
Is there an American Broad-Billed Sandpiper? Pretty sure they breed in Siberia and migrate to Australia and south east Asia in winter?
I am guilty of being a little optimistic
Cheers,
Jim.
The same beautiful weather in King's LynnAnother beautiful summers day!!

The woodchat shrike was still present at Winterton this morning, which was nice.
The real oddity of the day is pictured below, it isn't a bird but has me completely baffled as to what it is, or was. It has teeth in two rows, at the front/back and a single row in the middle as well as two more canine like teeth.
Looks fishy to me but not like any fish I have seen before, present in one of the dune slacks. Any ideas?
