    Hello Mohamed! The correct ID of bluethroats subspecies - especially outside the breeding season - is not that easy... Beside the colouration of the breast spot also the shape of this spot is an important character, as also cyanecula can show a reddish spot (or also a completly blue breast)...

    Yes, Lou - perhaps the best explanation, but why is the bill that dark? And why the bird looks bigger than the Clark`s Grebe? Really a strange bird... Would be probably the first hybrid between Red-necked & Clark`s! Here you can see other cases of hybridisation between grebes...
