    Sparrow ID Southern Ontario Canada

I am inclined to agree with you on juvenile Lincoln's Sparrow. Does not look stout enough for Song. The tail seems longish for Savannah, and has an almost rufous caste to it, also unlikely for Savannah. As a juvenile, it would have diffuse streaking on the chest, so not comparable to adults...

All Sparrows? San Simeon Beach, CA, USA

I would say the first two are Song, and the second two are Savannah. You can see the slightly forked tail on the bird in the third picture, and the yellow wash in the superciliary of the bird in the fourth. The first two pics appear to be of the same bird. There is a split in some of the tail...

    Vireo in Michigan, USA

My inclination is to call this a juvenile Yellow-throated molting into first basic. Of the wing-barred Vireos, it is the only one to be white on the flanks, belly and undertail coverts, and yellow on the throat (as in this bird). If you look at the pictures of the head, you can see a molt line...

Various ID's Set 1 Michigan USA

Well, here are my thoughts. Savannah Sparrows show a lot of variation, and some of the races are darkly streaked underneath, also creating a strongly marked malar. I usually don't think of Vesper Sparrows as darkly streaked, and would consider a strongly marked malar as exceptional on a Vesper...

#2 looks like a Red-tailed Hawk to me. Dark head, white throat, white chest, belly band of streaks.

Raptor ID, Sunnyvale Baylands Park, California

My impression was Sharp-shinned also, and from the tail. From a features standpoint, if you look at the edge tail feathers, and see if you can follow them down, it appears that you can, and that they appear to go to the tips of the tail on both sides. And, all tail feathers that can be seen...

    Hawk ID/confirmation Nova Scotia CA

I had to float down to JANJs response before I found someone calling it a Broad-winged Hawk, and only one other mostly agreeing after that. Appears to me to be an imm. Broad-winged. Just the short tail relative to wing-tips starts to kick out accipiters or Red-shouldered. The nice dark...
