Will your SF Eyecups stay stable between click stops?

Hi Aquplas.... I had this problem with my bins and solved it with o-rings...perfect now. A friend has the SF 8x42 and exactly the same problem, again 0-rings and now no problem. I love 0-rings so much , I've put them on all my bins whether they need it or not.

Birding by car - a fundamental question about petrol-saving switch-off systems

Had the exact same issue with a car in Israel: stop- start birding then engine wouldn't start after code punched in. Bit scary first time as thought I'd be stuck waiting for assistance - KM19 I think it was. Left it alone for 5 mins and it started okay. Don't think it was the short prayer that...

Victory SF 8x42 Prices by Color?

True, James - not saying Zeiss are alone in rushing product to market or, in the case of the focus problems you refer to, allowing known issues to drag on. It seems to me a producer introduces a 'new' bin with 'X' number of factors that give it an edge over a rival. To exploit that advantage in...

Victory SF 8x42 Prices by Color?

I take arran's point about 'best bin in [his] collection'... if you get a good unit you'll be very happy...would love an SF myself ( got the HTs). However the grey SF sounds like the debacle of Samsung 7... rushed out and with faults that needed subsequent rectification. The black SF seems to...

    Poor Leica Repair Service USA

Sad and exasperating story about poor Leica service. They produce such excellent bins ( had 2 pairs through 1980s and early '90s ( still got the 8x32BNs)...love/ed them. Read recently it costs 5-7x more to gain a new customer than keep an existing customer happy, loyal to the brand and an...
