Please, Help Me with This ID

Good evening, I am writing this post to see if anyone can help me identify a species which I took a photograph of in Extremadura (Spain) in May. Many thanks and kind regards, Alessandro

    Nikon 10x42 SE

Yes, Stephen, the last four digits are shown only on the packaging and not on the body of the instrument. Best regards and good visions with the magnificent Superior Execulite! Alessandro.

    10X50 Swarovision

Yes, the SwaroVision 8x32 is fine for a eyeglasses wearer, but does not fit the EDG 8x32, for which Nikon says 18.5mm but in fact the useful ER is only 13mm: eyepieces with the edge too big and protruding! Regards, Alessandro.

    Opticron 7x roofs

Hi Martin, I've got, among the others, the Opticron BGA 7x36 and the Nikon SE 8x32 and I am also a glasses wearer. Zen Ray porros?

I endorse the proposal of Pinewood: a compact porro 8x36 WF with long eye-relief like many people, me first! Regards & seasong greetings, Alessandro.

    Common Buzzard???

Hi, it's a Common Buzzard, probably a juvenile, from the pattern of the upperparts. This is a VERY variable species and Collins' illustrations, also very beautiful and accurate (the best?) do not cover the whole range of variations. N.B. I apologize for my poor english! Cheers, Alessandro.

    Raptor ID Western Ukraine

Yes, it's surely a buzzard, but if Common or Steppe is difficult to tell it by these images! Cheers, Alessandro

    Bird of Prey, Athens Greece

I agree with Lou: Booted Eagle, pale morph, juvenile, because the white tips of upper great coverts. Just a beatiful portrait! Regards & season's greetings to all BFers. Alessandro, from Southern Alps.

    Sparrohawk or Goshawk? Greece

Hi, it's not really a Goshawk, but a adult female of Sparrowhawk! The tarsi are not so robust and the bill is small compared to the head; even adult Sparrowhawk can have orange iris. Regards, Alessandro.
