    Is it too late for the common kingfisher in late april?

    I will be in Tokyo and Kyoto the last week of April. Will it be too late to see the common kingfisher? It's a lifer for me. Will also take any recommendations on locations to go birding, that might not be listed on ebird hotspots. Best, Cyn

    Birding in South Korea in October - Jeju Island or Busan?

    Maybe you'll stumble across my wallet one day. I was getting in and out of my taxi while I was there in october and dropped by Driver's License and credit cards. They were never found. :D I would have loved to have gone with a person familiar with birdwatching on Jeju.

    We normally don't get Great Gray Owl's in my area. This Great Gray showed up a couple of months ago, and I was lucky to photograph it.

    Short-eared owl

    Probably one of my last trips of the season to see the Short-Eared Owl. This one has been accustomed to the photographers visiting. They will leverage the people and eat and hunt near us to keep the Northern Harriers away.
