    Unknown bird - Cookstown NI

Thanks. That was my first thought but the eyering had me confused! It must be some sort of artefact and he must be wrong about the size which is easily done.

    Unknown bird - Cookstown NI

That was my first thought but he's sure it was songthrush sized and is familiar with chaffinch. The eye-ring doesn't look like an artefact. I've just spoken to him and he said it was silent and wasn't moving even when he approached it which he thought was unusual.

My brother just saw this while walking his dog and asked me what it was. I've no idea! He said it was slightly smaller than a blackbird.

Black and white bird -Cookstown NI

Thanks. It probably is just a poor photo of a wagtail - I've no idea if the original 'finder' would be familiar with them.

My brother just sent me this photo of bird a relative just sent to him from their garden in Cookstown Northern Ireland. It doesn't look like a wagtail but I can't think what else it would be?

Paphos Sewage Works Cyprus Trip October 2018

The Paphos Sewage Works is a well known birding destination in Cyprus particularly for spur-winged plover. I almost didn't do the trip as I could not find any definite information about the site's location on the internet, and surprisingly, our holiday rep had no idea where it was! Hopefully...

Hi, I took this at the end of October at the Paphos sewage works in Cyprus. Is it a Sardinian warbler?
