    Protection from midges

There's a British product, Incognito from www.lessmosquito.com, a natural protection range that works. I react badly to mozzies, so when I saw this product at the Birdfair I bought some.Being a sceptic, on a trip to Senegal and Gambia, I took Incognito and a Deet based product as back up. The...

    Where to go near London

London Wetland Centre, Barnes is very easy to get to from central London. Just take District or Piccadilly line on the Underground to Hammersmith, then the Duck Bus to the Wetland Centre (@15mins). Wild birds may be distant but has a good selection of captive duck and geese to try your camera on.

I did a survey training trip last year on the Plymouth - Santander-Portsmouth route and it was amazing with many sightings of Dolphins and Whales...

    Bulgaria 2010, Winter Birding

excellent report Jos, I guess the cave you saw the wild cat in is his favourite sunbathing spot,we ( an RSPB group on a RBG trip ) watched it for over an hour on the 11th before the sun went down and the Owls came out. The Wind Farms on the steppe areas north of Shabla are totally illegal as the...
