    30x Draw Scopes

Thanks Robert! I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for the right draw scope. I do a bit of backpacking and think the specs are a nice balance for image quality, durability, and compactness/weight. It looks like the Meopta 75 TGA with 30x eyepiece can be purchased for less than $900 new, and...

    30x Draw Scopes

I have considered the Zeiss, but I'm more attracted to a wide fov at 30x. From my understanding, the Zeiss has a similar fov at 18x. I own an opticron mm3 50mm with the zoom eyepiece, and the tunnel effect is bothersome.

    30x Draw Scopes

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information floating around on modern draw scopes. Perhaps it's the lack of waterproofness makes them less desirable. The compactness and weight savings has certainly caught my eye. Has anyone gotten a chance to compare any of the following scopes? Optolyth...

    Tried the Habicht 8x30

I've only been able to catch glare a few times when glassing uphill towards the sun. My only complaint is finding a reliable tripod mount. I've used the bushnell buckle strap as well as the Outdoorsmans Bino Hand. I don't like the lack of security with the bushnell, and the outdoorsmans is...

    Tried the Habicht 8x30

I've used my 8x30W's on a few trips now and am quite happy with them. My typical observation distance is a bit further, so I don't really have an issue with the slower focusing. These were used in the mountains and snow, and I personally encountered very little flare issues. I'm confident these...

    TSN 554 Fluorite?

I would be content if it were non flourute like the 660 and 770. Hopefully a new wide angle EP will be released as well

    Swarovski Habicht 8x30 W.

Well I think I've settled on the 8x30w, now i just need to be patient to find a pair for a good price in the classifieds.

    Swarovski Habicht 8x30 W.

The only high-end glass (other than camera lenses) that I've looked through were my dads Zeiss Classic T* 10x40 which are sharp and clear, no issues with the older rubber style eyecups either. In the early hours of light, which pair of binos would have a brighter transmission between a Habicht...

    Swarovski Habicht 8x30 W.

Thank you all for the info! There is a local hunting shop I'll check out to compare the various high end binos. I doubt they have the habicht models of course, but it sounds like the sharpness is comparable to the best out there. The warranty is slightly concerning, does this mean I'll have...

    Swarovski Habicht 8x30 W.

Hello, I'm looking to purchase my first nice pair of binos. I've looked into the Minox 8x44 bl HD, maven b1 and b3, meopta binos, and celestron granite 7x33. As a photographer, I greatly appreciate good optics and have enjoyed various lenses from zeiss, leica, minolta hexanon, olympus, pentax...
