    Interesting Wasp

My son and I were debating this and we settled on a great black wasp. He argued that due to the fact that it spent 1/2 the day digging the burrow that it was in the digger wasp likelihood. He was pretty sure the prey was a type of wolf spider. I wish I would have witnessed the moment it brought...

Osprey With Prey From Backyard Pond

I see ospreys in my neighborhood off and on throughout any given year. This is the first time I've seen one eating a fish on top of the utility pole in front of the house! I suspect my pond is short 1 bluegill!

    Interesting Wasp

I was enjoying a nice visit with some friends on a northern Lake Michigan beach and had the unique pleasure of watching this wasp work on its burrow. Next thing I know it is enlarging the entrance so this spider may fit!

    Backyard Birds

This green heron acted different than the norm. Usually when I approach the pond to feed the fish they fly into the trees and scold me for the interruption. This one held his ground. I threw some fish food in front of him and it wasn’t long before he caught a big golden shiner! These turkey...

    Pentax 9x28 DCF LV Repair

Thank you. I may be checking back for some helpful tips. I bought them off a party on the internet so not sure what that will do for me as far as warranty. I don't mind paying for a proper repair as long as it isn't too much $$$! I have my Vanguard Endeavor ED IV for binos but have been...

    Pentax 9x28 DCF LV Repair

Thank you for allowing me to join this group! It has an amazing array of topics to go through! I did seen another subform someone was inquiring about a broken eyecup on their Pentax binoculars. It was suggested they post here on this subform but it appears they haven't or maybe they found their...

A Cold Morning Greeting From Michigan

I have always enjoyed nature watching as a kid. As I approach retirement my interest has increased to the point where I feel compelled to upgrade my spotting scope. I have been "lurking" on this site for a bit looking through the spotting scope recommendations and felt compelled to join! Thanks!
