Leica Hdplus 7x42 vs Trinovid 7x35

I have both and the 7x42 Ultravid HD+ is optically much better than the 7x35 Retrovid. Although the Retrovid optics is nice But i use the Retrovid more because i travel a lot

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

As much as i like my Noctivid 8x42, i have returned it to the seller after i compared it with my friend's one My friend's Noctivid 8x42 was the reason i bought mine. But once compared side by side, there was sample variation between mine and his. His has better clarity and contrast than mine...

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

8x42 Noctivid side by side with the old Nikon HG 8x42 and the EDG 7x42. The Noctivid wins clearly in sharpness, contrast, clarity, and 3D texture. The old HG wins in the warm cosy colour, which is spectacular at sunset. The 7x42 EDG wins at night on the clean image of bright light sources, and...

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

Yes. I agree. The only binoculars that are equal or better than the EDG 7x42 in this aspect that I have seen is the Nikon SP 7x50.

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

I compared the Noctivid 8x42 with my EDG 7x42. Optically, the EDG wins on night time use on city scape. Looking at bright light sources such as street lights and bright windows the EDG gives a cleaner image. It seems the EDG better control internal reflection. Sometimes I saw reflection of...

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

I have compared the Noctivid 8x42 vs the SF 8x42 before the purchase. The SF image maybe slightly better technically (sharpness, brightness), but there is more soul in the Noctivid image. To me the decision to choose the Noc was obvious. My friend also already sold the SF and kept the Noc since then

Now I am sure a Noctivid 7x42 will be binoculars nirvana

    Noctivid 8x42 is here

After experiencing 2 glorious Noctivid 8x42s of my friends in the last couple of years, I finally decided to get one for myself. Now having it in my hands i am so glad with the decision. What an amazing pair of binoculars. Exactly same good experience as with the 2 previous units. Bright, sharp...

    Meostar B1 7x50 is here

This thread is old but I will continue because it is interesting today My friend obtained a Meopta B1 8x56 and I jumped to him to compare the B1 8x56 and my B1 7x50. Particularly in terms of sharpness and clarity And to compare the 8x56 and the 7x50 with my SLC 7x50 that I originally found...

    New Retrovid 7x35

Optical quality is still good in the Retrovid and great in the Noctivid though

    New Retrovid 7x35

I reported first issue with my Retrovid's focuser back in Feb this year. The situation deteriorated quickly in the last few days. As of this morning the focuser was in total free rotation, completely non-functioning. What a surprise with Leica quality (mechanics) My friend recently bought a new...

    New Retrovid 7x35

Oh yes I forgot the Ultravid 8x32, which should fit my pocket. I was thjnking of the chunky old HG 8x32 that I use most

    New Retrovid 7x35

I also found that my sample is not as sharp as those i consider alpha roofs. For example, it is not as sharp as an EDG 7x42, EDG 8x32, old HG 8x32, Ultravid 8x32, and Noctivid 8x42
