    I'm having problems identifying this butterfly. Can anyone help, please. It was taken in the meadows around Lake Bled.

    Slovenia/ Lake Bled

    I shall be staying at Lake Bled in June of next year and am hoping to photograph some of the butterflies, dragonflies and birds in the area. I shall be reliant on local transport and am restricted in the amount of walking/climbing I shall be able to do! I've been checking out some of the reports...

    I'd appreciate some help in identifying the plant this chiffchaff is on. The photo' was taken in the Algarve and I'm wondering if it could be some kind of glasswort. Google has thrown up Salicornia Ramosissima!

    Thanks, Nick. The Mycena was with one other on the side of a log. It had rained the previous night so that might account for the surface of image one. It had caused me problems when trying to I.D. it. In future, I'll take more shots at different angles....hopefully one will match the books Ive...

    unidentified moth I'm just beginning to learn about moth i.d. and am finding it a little daunting! This moth appeared yesterday. Perhaps someone could start me off by naming it. Are there any specific moths I should be looking out for in April?
