Algarve Warbler, Boca do Rio this morning

The easiest way to get an ID on the birds at Boca do Rio is to ID a singing bird by its song. Then once identified, if you wish you can get a feel for the plumage and structural features. πŸ™‚πŸ‘

My East China Birding Trip - March, 2025

Great report thanks. I hope to bird China one day and a report like this is encouraging. A lot of reports describe the many difficulties with trying to bird there. How much did the B&B cost? πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ¦β€β¬›

    Wren's calls QUESTION

Yep, it's not something I've ever verbalised, or even consciously thought about. It just comes from encountering these species repeatedly. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ¦β€β¬›

The benefits of ecotourism - examples

I don't really understand the thinking behind this approach, which I've heard from various people. Do you recycle? Do you vote? Pay taxes? Why? You think your vote/taxes/recycling makes a difference? I still do them tho. Throw chewing gum wrapper into the bushes? No? Why not? Genuine questions...

Bird Call ID Help - East Cornwall UK

I also think it's probably a Great Tit. It might even be imitating a Coal Tit as it sounds very like one. πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ¦

    Algarve Warbler

Yep Chiffy. The Savis will be in the reeds. At Boca do Rio, you can step up the slope on one side of the track (the side with the trees), and this gives a couple of feet elevation over the reedbed. Good luck. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ¦†πŸ¦’πŸ¦…
