    Stock Dove harassing Barn Owl in flight, Flamborough, England

    When Sparrowhawks were still uncommon , I watched a male being harassed by a mixed flock of tits in flight for over 100 metres. i have also watched 2 collared doves totally ignoring a static male , not sure they would have done the same if it was the female though

    Personally , I use it as part of the process of ID' ing , just as you would any other part of the overall "feel " of a bird.
