    Redwing Stourbridge UK

As a novice can anyone confirm my ID as Redwing or otherwise. The bad weather is clearly making them venture further afield for food, I've never seen them here before. Thanks.

Thanks for the directions they were spot on. Went down on Saturday afternoon and there he was sitting in the tree. Had a great view, many thanks. Would he (I'm assuming 'he' of course) use this roost more or less permanently or would this pattern change when he is helping raising young? Cheers.

Hi Sedgley, I often read your posts with interest, so thanks for all your info. I would really like to see if I could spot the Tawny Owl. You mention Whites Wood and the cavity tree. Can anyone identify this? Taken St Marys IOS 16/8

Sorry for the v poor pics but could anyone ID this? A pair of these appeared to be feeding near the beach and coastal path. Presumably they are pipits of some kind? (spot the novice!)

    What kind of Sandpiper??

What a great picture, I wish I could do that! I would be interested to know what equipment you have to get a pic like that (sorry if this is not the thread to ask this question, I am a novice here, birding and cameras!!) Thanks.

    Waders for ID please.

Thanks Max, I am new to this game and I would also doubt my own id if challenged by another, I would automatically assume they have more experience than me.

I have also found myself looking at the skies whilst at the Molineux this season!! I visit the Himley/Baggeridge area too though mainly during a run so not ideal to spot birds enroute (although I don't move that fast). I'm new to birding but really enjoy it, I've been visiting Upton Warren a...
