    waxwing Waxwings today in the trees on the A500 Etruria roundabout (old MFI roundabout) 13.30. Didn't manage to get numbers as i was driving and had the fuhrer squawking at me to keep my eyes on the road but there were a good few.

    Westport Lake Had a Hobby chasing a House Martin over the lake at 12.15pm. The House Martin ended up in the water, the Hobby was then trying to pluck it from the water but got chased off by a load of gulls. Think the Martin must have got up and away as there was no sight of it after the Hobby...

    Didn't notice a clean headed Herring Gull, but the bird i saw seemed classic Yellow Legged to me:- very clean head with none or no visable streaking, slightly darker mantle than Herring and although not bright yellow legs they were yellowish, i was thinking near adult bird but less than 5 years...

    Had 50 waxwings this morning 10.30 in trees on the car park of the China Garden, Festival Park, they crapped all over my car!!!
