Pure NL the right one for me?

My main binocular now is an Eschenbach 10x40 Derby Compact. Old and battered, with missing eyecups. But it does the job remarkably fine with the added benefit that I can throw them in my backpack without eyecups (lost them) and without worrying until I can afford a Conquest or a Kahless :)

10x42- What is Next Step in Quality/Price Above Zeiss Conquest HD?

I liked the Zeiss conquest 10x42 HD better than the Swarovski NL 8x32. The look of the image, the handling, the ease of use. So don't sell the Conquest before you are absolutely sure you have something better.

Pure NL the right one for me?

Hmm. Let's dig a little deeper. Did you wear a hat and was your face in the shade ?

Pure NL the right one for me?

But can you force the NL to glare when you put the eyecups in the retracted position, and place them under your eyebrows and create some distance between your eyes and the exit lenses ?

Pure NL the right one for me?

Well, I've mentioned it a few times in past discussions :) Of course it's my observation and my experience with this bonocular. But maybe there are others who can confirm (or not confirm) this? So: if you have an NL, walk outside, and test my observation. And let us know if it works for you or not.

Pure NL the right one for me?

Don't let the NL rest under your eyebrows but hold them right before your eyes. Most of the glare is being caused by the light reflecting from your cheeks.

Pure NL the right one for me?

Make sure to place them right in front of your eyes whilst you hold your head up, and not resting them under your eyebrows while tilting your head a bit forward. A lot of the milky haze in the underside of the view is just a reflection of the light coming from your cheeks. And try another brand...

    Binocular prices

They tried it before (Getting money with tariffs to compensate for lower tax revenues). Didn't work. And yes, consumers will pay for it. A tariff is just another word for tax. Paid for by the consumers in the country that imposes the tariff (tax !), not the producers of the goods and their...

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

I'm not talking about the differences in field of view of an 8x compared to a 10x magnification pair of binoculars. But ok, I'll correct myself: "...But choosing a binocular based on differences of 0.1, 0.3 or 0.5 degrees differences in fov....".

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

The field of view may be bigger on the Curio, but it doesn't mean squat (My opinion :) ). Again: what good is a big field of view when the view is a small picture at the end of a tunnel ? And I get it: the Curio is small and pocketable and that comes with constraints. So to each their own. But...

Only one solution here: try them out. As far as the weight concerns: the difference is 130 grams. Try to hold 130 grams and decide wether this is a dealbreaker. Don't get hung up by tech specs and minor details. Every person is different, and so is every binocular. You can't select a binocular...

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

I tried the Ultravid too. I put them down even faster than the Curio :) But I'm coming from big binoculars so my reference point is different. For me the joy of a binocular is the wonderful and easy view where it is like sticking your head out of a window instead of standing in a room and...

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

I strongly suggest testing the curio first head to head with a Junior before you buy a curio. I tried it (the Curio) out and put it down almost immediately. To me it had a very cramped tunnellike look. It is just an expensive toy to me. With admittedly very good image quality and mechanically...

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

Easy on the eyes: my eyes relaxed when I looked through them, and I did not feel the need to set a diopter. Both tubes looked sharp. Jan van Galen mentioned this too. And as for sharpnes correction: it's not your brain that does this, nor for collimation. It's your eyes that adapt. As for...

Do you need the diopter adjustment ? I mean: do you REALLY need it, and not as if in 'it has to be on it but I never use it' ? These bino's are easy on the eyes, I tried them and had no issues. Normally I have to dial in +1. Not with these ones.
