Opticron 8x32 Imagic Magnesium *Limited Edition*

I have just brought a pair of these from SW Optics and I am very impressed with them, considering they are doing them for £259 they are a bargain. I have only used them over the weekend, but the weather has not been that good, but optically there are great - very bright, no color fringing. So if...

Need advice: 70-300 VR or 80-400 VR lens

Nikon 70-300 VR I have this lens and cannot fault it for the price, it gives some stunning shots. I also use it with the Kenko Pro 300 1.4 Teleconveter, and its fully compatible. My wife has one of these lenses as well, & also the 80-400 VR which is considrably heavier, she tends to use the...

Gerard, I brought the Opticron ES80 GA ED Angled with HDF twist eye cup 20-60x zoom, stay-on case from SW Optics late last year for £549 and free delivery, and I am very pleased with it. For the money it is one of the best scopes on the market. I went on to buy a set of Opticron bino's because...

Opticron 10x42 Bga Classics (oasis Coated)

Have just brought a pair of these last week from SW Optics, and I must say I am very impressed with the quality of these binoculars and I also got free menbership to the BTO until Jan 2007. Having compared most of the well known makes I found for the price these were superb, and I could not see...

Opticron ES80 GA ED - which Eyepiece

Harry B. Used my scope this morning at Chew Valley lake, and I am very impressed with it. In 20x it is pin sharp, but take it up to 60x and you only have to move the focusing knob a fraction of an inch to get it in focus. We saw some Ruddy Ducks, Little Grebes with young and a young Water Rail...

Ruby. If you are in this area you need to head out of Bath on the old A4 into Batheaston Village there is a Free Car Park just opposite the row of Shops/Pubs.From the left hand edge of the carpark is a footpath that takes you along the River Avon (Kingfishers can be spotted here). Head out of...

    Dipper

Terry. Good to hear from you. I work at the MOD Offices at Ensleigh and this is a good spot for migrating birds. As I have nly just got back into serious birding after quite a few years off, its good to find out some new places to go. I must admit I have not been down to the Tadwick area, but...

    Dipper

Went for walk along Shockerwick Brook (Batheaston, Bath) last night and managed to get a good look at one of the many Dippers that seem to frequent this small brook. A very intresting bird to watch. Also the Sand Martins are very active along the brook that flows into the River Avon at Batheaston.

I have always been a keen birdwatcher (mainly in the back garden or when out for walks), but have only just started to take more of a wider interest in all birds. I have just joined the WWT at Slimbridge and spending days out there looking at...
