Tripod Innorel for spotting scope 85 mm - good Idea?
Hi All , I have just bought the RT90C tripod and wow what a beast .... Rock solid . I use a 410 geared head for use with ATS 65 / Vortex Moa reticle eyepiece and a Sirui 40x Head for the rifles and the tripod does both very well . 65mm or the 95mm , if you get the 85mm you'll never justify going bigger or smaller in the future ! -
Vortex eyepiece on Swarovski body
I have tried my Opticron 2.5x on the Vortex eyepiece and whilst darker as you would expect the image is very good considering . -

As a rifle shooter Bino's and spotting scopes play a big part of the setup and being a fan of Swarovski i've always favoured their kit . The HD65 with the 20x fixed gives me a great FOV but sometimes you need to know by how much the shot missed it's target so a reticle within the eyepiece would... -

Paul , I'm not sure of the diameter of the 30x compared to the 20x but the 40949 is the largest adapter they do and i feel it will still need some sticky backed felt on the inside of the adapter ring to pack it out to your 30x . Call Opticron direct as i don't think anyone will stock the adapter... -

The beauty of the opticron is that there is nothing to unscrew just a snug push on fit over the existing eyepiece . I never like taking the eyepiece off when outdoors no matter how careful i'm being . -
Struggling with a decision
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ......... Still makes no sense to me i'm afraid perhaps taking one less Lipstick and that will save enough weight to take the 95mm ? To buy an 85mm as a comprimise or a ' good all rounder ' for those who cant afford the 65mm & 95mm seems to defeat what this system is all about... -

Hi All , I don't know if this has been covered but since swaping my GA52 for a nice HD65 and getting a 20x for it i decided to get the 40949 adapter which will allow the Opticron 2.5x Booster to fit on the Swarovski eyepiece ( with the aid of the felt sticky tape to pack out the very small... -
Struggling with a decision
IMHO , The 95mm is the only way to go if weight is not an issue as i'm struggling to understand why there's an 85mm at all , A 65mm & 95mm perfect combo . -
New 10x50 EL's v 10x42 EL's
My 42's were the non swaro's which i'd had for some years before changing . Maybe it's me and i'm imagining it or i had a one off pair of 42's and an average pair of 50's ? OSOK -

I hope this has not been talked about before but i upgraded my old 10x42 EL's to a pair of new 10x50 EL's assuming there would be an advantage . I think they say that assumption is the mother of all cockups as whilst i didn't do a direct comparison at the time i'm left feeling that the 50's are... -
GA52 v ED50
I was trying to say how surprised I was at the small size of the Leica and I would still consider it as small scope and was comparing it against my GA52 . I don't worry about grams & millimetres just if it fits in my drag bag . Thanks for all the other replies as they were helpful and...
