    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

Rich people problem... I think I'll keep the 7x21 and sell the 8x25 (Zeiss). Also, I do not care about the matching design and the 7x21 grip is enough for me. I would prefer for it to have more rubber and less metal but I'll live with this disappointment.

Swarovski NL 8x42 - First Impressions

Agree but when someone says "I've never tried something, don't plan to" followed by "but I'll explain why I know better than those who did", one can think that we are far away from any reasonable point of view. This is like a virgin explaining that sex is not that good. BTW, I tried the NL...

    ECO friendly?

And one can disagree with Greta's approach (I do) but still notice that if every climatologist and institutions as different as the US Army or the World bank and many others are saying we are going to hit a wall because of the climate & environment impact we have, then there is a good chance...

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

Sure, here are 2 quick snapshots with the phone. So on the left, the Trinovid with its original, very small, fitting & convenient leather pouch. Used it for around 20 years I think. In the middle, the Ultravid with its big case: you could almost fit the Trinovid & the Ultravid inside and still...

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

It seems to me that they are very close. I see both fields entirely with my glasses. Is there an easy way to measure them?

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

No problem but the size differences are hard to see.

    Compact Case for Lecia Monovid

I bought the 10x25 Zeiss Pouch here: ZEISS Soft Leather Bag for Mono 10x25T It is slightly to big for the Monovid alone but it gives extra space for the strap. I can even store the close-up lens in the very small box I built by cutting a 35mm film canister.

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

It fits better in my hands because the bridge is smaller but I was talking about the ergonomics: the Leica has a better focuser, diopter correction is vastly superior, it is less slippery, etc.

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

This is the subjective view. FOV is 130m at 1000m for the Zeiss and 135m for the Swaro so no real difference here. In my experience, they are very close when it comes to comfort of use with some differences of course (better focuser and handling for the Zeiss, better contrast and compactness...

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

The picture may be misleading: the size is really the same as the Ultravid. Indeed and btw, the Ultravid 8x20 and Trinovid 8x20 (I have both) are still perfectly usable for an evening at the symphony or as "forget in a bag just in case" binoculars.

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

My feeling is that the Zeiss has the better grip followed by the Leica and then the Swaro. This is not a problem for me but your mileage may vary.

    New Swarovski 7x Binocular

I just got mine. First impressions: they are as small as the UV 8x20 but much more confortable: wider FOV, bigger exit pupil, better 3D pop, slightly colder the are warmer than the Zeiss Victory 8x25 and very close when it comes to the image. I'll have to compare them more to know if I keep the...

Zeiss Victory Pocket 8x25 - Globe or no Globe?

I not the most sensitive person to this effect but I did not noticed it with the Zeiss 8x25. I just compared them to SF 8x32 and the globe effect is much bigger in it. So I would say that it should not be a problem but you should wait for other opinions. Funny because 2 days ago, you talked...

As far as I know, it is not for sale anymore.
