    What tree for birds?

Maybe plant two smaller trees - one deciduous fruit-bearing "bush" and another conifer for a bit of life in the winter. Steve

Help with White Stork leg rings

Hi NG, I presume that you are also interested in readings from birds in SPain as well as from those in Africa? If so I'll try and take a few readings the next time I go to the Lleida dump, where there are currently several hundred White Storks. Steve

What are the target birds that North American look for when visiting Europe?

Be careful with what you wish for Labrador Duck! In some parts of Spain you might get to see the birds the locals see when they're served to you on a plate! Steve

What are the target birds that North American look for when visiting Europe?

    Annoying birding conversations in hides

The most memorable event that happened to me at Lakenheath was getting caught in the poplar wood by a raging storm, lightning all around me and getting drenched. It's obviously a world of contrasts! Steve

    Bird names capitalisation

I think it's a very good question, reflecting the relative anarchy of the English language, compared to Spanish for example, which is regented by a respectful (dusty?) Royal Language Academy. In my second book I decided to use lower case except in cases like the already mentioned Cetti's...
