    Greetings from Norway

You are most welcome, and Stockholm is a bit far away for me too. King of bird art – indeed - and I don´t know if you caught what he mentioned in the video, which I find rather admirable and that is that he experience the same enjoyment travelling down the same gravel road to the same coastline...

    Greetings from Norway

Absolutely brilliant and a true masterpiece. It almost comes alive in a way and sends some sort of a message. Speaking of masterpieces and don´t know if you and are aware of this, which might have your interest. I suppose that you Alan perhaps will visiting the exhibition ...

    Field sketches

Yes, and here in Denmark ( north of Copenhagen ) we have had this Northern Hawk Owl around for a few weeks or so, and which has caught the attention of many birders. Not very common at all around here. UK version...

    Greetings from Norway

Even though Brusewitz´s books are in Swedish you can always enjoy his drawings / sketches which are absolutely brilliant. I just got a copy of his book “Arktisk Sommer” ( Arctic Summer ) from 1980, where he took part in a polar expedition named Ymer-80. The book is loaded with his watercolour...

    Arches Lavis Fidelis

Sorry to hear that, but I did fear it might have been a misprint in their add (which it obviously was), so they ought to have it corrected. Hope you manage to find 280g it in sheets. Last year I order some from here, but of course it is just the 220g. Anyway, excellent service, excellent...

    Wootton Art 2012

Tim, To be honest I felt a little bit like Oivind hesitating to ask, but more in the direction of the technique used, so I am very pleased – like many others I´m sure – that you have taken your time to show “us” the process. Black magic at it´s best – brilliant. Many thanks,:t: Torben

    Which magazines

I couldn´t agree more and it´s the same with e-books / books-on-line or what have you. URGH ! Keith, I will check up about my missing issue which then seems to be the last one out in print. Not long ago another UK art /wildlife magazine ceased (Bird Art & Photography I think it was), and also a...

    Which magazines

Very sad news if it´s valid. The latest issue I received is the Vol. 11 No. 4 ( Winter) and I did wonder why I haven´t received a “Spring” issue. No wonder then if publication has ceased, but if so I presume subscribers ought to have been informed by now ? Hoping for the best, Torben.

Welcome back to Scandinavia after what seems to have been a successful birding & sketching trip. Lots of fantastic sketches :t: and hard to pick a favorite, but if so I really like the one of the short toed lark (352840). Not long ago we had one here. Cheers, Torben

On The Hoof - Fieldwork From Orkney

It has that kind of same magical glow as the one of the Moulting Eiders. I like the “straight-on-look-at-you” on the turnstone to the left. Like so many others I find it so difficult to tackle foreshortenings, but here it is ( of course ;) ) spot on. Just great,:t: Torben

Lucky you – two full weeks at a lovely spot like that, it certainly looks smashing. I do hope the weather will be kind to you during your stay and I´m sure you know the Irish saying: “If it´s wet outside you might as well get wet inside” B (: B (: ;) Anyway, you certainly seem to be well...
