Distribution
Breeds on islands in northern Pacific ocean, pelagic rest of the year.
Taxonomy
This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 2 subspecies.
Subspecies
- H. f. furcatus:
- North Kuril, Komandorskiye and Aleutian Islands
- H. f. plumbeus:
- Islands off southern Alaska to northern California
Habitat
At sea except when breeding.
