Distribution
South America: found in the foothills of south-eastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador and extreme northeastern Peru.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Tropical rainforest to 1550 m asl.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes flying insects which are hawked aerially.
Breeding
They are ground nesters. The clutch of 1-4 white eggs is incubated by both sexes for 20-23 days, and both adults care for the young.
