Pale-breasted Thrush - BirdForum Opus

Identification

Grey head and nape, brown upperparts and rufous wings, white throat with dark streaks, grey-brown breast and flanks, olive-yellow bill.

Distribution

Northern Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, eastern Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina.

Taxonomy

Three subspecies are recognized[1]:

  • T. l. albiventer
  • T. l. cautor
  • T. l. leucomelas

Habitat

Forest borders and clearings as well as parks and gardens.

Behaviour

It builds a cup shaped nest of grasses and twigs which is covered with plant material.

Diet includes insects and fruit.
