Identification
Distribution
South America: found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
Three subspecies are recognized[1]:
- P. f. cearae:
- Eastern Brazil (Ceará and eastern Pernambuco)
- P. f. fasciatus:
- Eastern Brazil (Maranhão to south-eastern Mato Grosso and southern Goiás)
- P. f. brevirostris:
Habitat
Subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
