Distribution
South America: found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- S. f. frontalis:
- S. f. fuscipennis:
- Eastern Bolivia and north-western Argentina
An additional subspecies poliophrys is generally considered invalid[2]
Habitat
Forests, woodland edges and arid, scrubby areas.
