    The Danish translation of the second edition has the same reference to the Swedish list (with the exceptions) as the Swedish third edition. The publishers of the Danish translation expect to have the third edition ready in fourth quarter of 2023.

    No, they are not split. Turkestan (Alaudala rufescens heinei) and Mediterranean (Alaudala rufescens rufescens) seems to be treated as subspecies of Lesser Short-toed Lark (Alaudala rufescens) with a note that they eventually might be split.

    Yes, Saunder's Tern has a full entry in the Swedish edition. On the other hand Tajga Bean Goose and Tundra Bean Goose are not split. They are in Denmark.

    Great report. Did you find any differences in eye relief, contrast, sharpness or CA between the 8x40 and 10x40?

    I have not seen anything about a large format version, but with earlier editions the large format version has been published a year or two after the field guide version.

    APM 1.25" eyepiece adapter.

    The edge performance is quite good and CA is very low. This particular eyepiece was made for the Celestron Regal series of spotting scopes.

    The adapter works great with my Celestron eyepiece on the ATS 65 HD. I can focus on the Moon with a little extra room on the focus ring. Good enough for birding. Field of view with the Celestron eyepiece is similar to the Swarovski 20-60x at 20x.

    How Many Pairs of Binoculars do you Have?

    Four pairs between my wife and me: 1. Swarovski CL Pocket 8x25 (in the car) 2. Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 (for travel - stays in the living room for garden birding) 3. Swarovski EL 8.5x42 FP (my primary pair) 4. Kowa SV 8x32 (my wife's) A couple of older noname pairs are staying in the closet.
