    ID this bird of prey from January in NJ

    Up in northern NJ in early January, I took these photos and haven't been able to identify the bird. Pics aren't very good. Due to file size I've only uploaded one which hopefully is enough. I can upload more if necessary. Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

    where is a good place in Michigan?

    I'm going to Michigan for work next week, end of June. Are there any highly recommended places to visit to see birds I may not find in the Northeast? I live in NJ and I'm hoping I can take one day to look for birds while I'm away.

    NJ, USA taken in August-Thrush

    NJ, USA taken today December 28th

    Took these today as this bird was soaring above the treetops. Sharp hooked beak. Looked fairly large. It was right next to a half drained lake near a river and lots of woods. If anyone knows the area, it's by the Paulinskill Lake/River in northern NJ. When you zoom in you can see the lighter...

    Northwest NJ USA

    This first grey bird has been really driving me nuts. It looks very ordinary but I can't find anything in the field guide even remotely close. Second one I have no clue because every flycatcher and half the vireos look identical to my untrained eye. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I'm new to this. These are probably easy for you guys. Any help is much appreciated. I have one photo of a hawk (red tail?) 2 photos, front and back, of another gray/white/yellow bird-yes he showed me his butt. The blue and white bird doesn't seem to match ANYTHING unless I'm colorblind...
