    Barnacle Goose - variation or crossbred?

    Spotted this one at Minsmere Suffolk, may be a cross between Barnacle and some other Branta species, maybe Canada or Brent?

    Whooping birds on power line USA

    I have been compiling a lifer list when i remembered some curious birds i saw in 1980 whilst travelling across northern States. There were 20+ birds sat on overhead wires, one would whoop then like a Mexican wave the birds either side would dip as they whooped. Its a vague memory but i hope this...

    ID wader please

    Saw this bird at RSPB Elmley, Isle of Sheppey, Kent, whilst watching some snipe on same pool. The dark cross banding on breast has not shown a match in any book I have. Would appreciate ID help, thanks.

    Unidentified juvenile?

    Hello can anyone identify this juvenile, Robin looking, but Nightingale heard in same bushes. Location:- Nothward (RSPB) Kent. Locations of 7 nightingales known at local patches inc' one pair, for April-May. Hope to get to interact more in future time allowing.
