    90% frozen Moors Pool today, the open part was just by the islands so lots of early birds fairly close. Plenty of Pochard and Tufted plus a single Wigeon which left early on. Three Little egrets popped in briefly. There were clouds of finches, pigeons and Stock Doves next to the west track, also...

    Tuesday. Garganey still on island Moors pool, also 2x Goldcrest in hedge next to Water Rail hide. Several Water Rails showing taking advantage of the muddy shoreline.

    It's is probably down to the fox which has been seen twice recently inside the fence. DEFRA advise against removing dead birds for health reasons.

    To add to Gerts list we had 1 Green Sand at the Flashes and 2 Oyks, 4 Oyks on the Moors but unsure if they were some of the same birds. Also there was a report of a Goosander but we didn't see it. Sparrowhawk and Kestrel also on Moors. Also a very tame Water Rail in the channel on the causeway.

    Just to let you all know we're going to try and fix the door catch on the concrete hide Tuesday morning, there may be some noise due to the door being made of aluminium and it might need adjusting. Read that as being smacked with a hammer! Cracking picture Elvisboy!

    8th April 2021 We had hoped to open hides at Upton Warren from 12th April. However, after consultation with the local authority regulatory services we have been advised this will not be possible until after 17th May at the earliest.     Egrets A couple of pics from today showing the Egrets in the tree behing the west hide. There are/were seven.:t::t: The seventh bird is where the bare tree meets the Oak near the top.
