    Yep it is an eagle. The wings are too long and broad for a buzzard.

    I agree with your comments. You can get a bit carried away at seeing a bird that is new to you for the first time. Be patient try to let the shot come to you and be ready for it. I too have a Canon 550d and have used the Canon 400mm IS USM F5.6. I have only had the camera for over a year...

    Hello!!

    Yes, that was me. Only got a few good pics that day. The Swans being one of them. The next day we went to another loch (which you will know of) and saw four Ospreys in the air at one time while the chick was still in the nest! Here are some of the pictures.
