    Dead bird on Cushendun beach on the Antrim coast N. Ireland

    my wife is on holiday in Northern Ireland and sent me this photo of a bird on the beach yesterday My first thought was a merlin but the wing looks wrong and about the size of kestrel Any ideas

    Raven Fuerteventura

    having just got back from Fuerteventura i was quite puzzled by the ravens i saw as the call and look of them did not look like the ones i see in the UK and i see and ravens near daily in the area i live got 2 photos (very poor)

    common gull west yorkshire

    something looks odd with this common gull ie. the longer than usual bill and looks long necked to me, but this may be due to its actions. also was smaller in size to common gull,which was quite noticable in the field pics taken 12th november 2012.
