    Thanks both for the assistance. The bill on the rail certainly matches Wood Rail more than any other species. It is the spots on the wings that is confusing. A quick google brings up many wrongly labelled species, often White Throated, but none with those spots on the primaries and greater...

    Hi, I was hoping for some help on these two. The (spectacled?) Tetraka/Greenbul was in Ranomafana and the other (Rail?) from Ankarana. Both were taken in November. Many thanks.

    That's great, thank you for the responses. I didn't realise the position of the eye was different enough to use as a distinguishing feature. Also, thanks for the information on the 'Greenbuls' I shall have to rename a few of my other images now as well.
