    the mystery bird

    OK...don't laugh, there's a bird out there with a distinctive call: whoo hoo.........hoo...hoo very quiet, like blowing through a woodwind instrument. I can't I.D. the bird because I don't know what I'm looking for????? Any ideas?

    red winged blackbird?

    The only photos of this bird that I can find in pubs is with wings extended. The other thing is that the song seems all wrong this bird had a very long song....I know, I know...what a newbie....

    hummingbird ID ?

    If I can attach a picture I would like to know if anyone can ID this little bird....thought it might be an allen's hummingbird but the collor scheme does not match any assistance would be greatly appreciated... thank you:bounce:
