    Greenfinch

I hope its unusual appearance is more to do with moulting than mites. I sometimes have five or six of these finches on at the same time and I've never seen one look like this, no matter the weather.

    Linnet?

Had a trip to Leasowe earlier, but sadly missed the Yellow Wagtails. I did take a few pics of a bird in the distance that I couldn't identify. My wife reckons it's a Linnet and we did see them around elsewhere. What do you think?

    Some kind of goose?

    Pied Flycatcher??

Hello all. I took this picture in Brno, the second city of the Czech Republic, a couple of days ago. Being new to birding, I had no idea what it was and only just managed to get a pretty poor picture of it. I've had a look around and think it might be a Pied Flycatcher. What do you think?

Hello and seeking advice on the Sony DSCHX400V

Sx50 Thanks for the replies. I did decide to lump for the SX50 in the end. I've managed a few half-decent pictures, but I've a lot to learn. As you suggested, Neil, I'll review in 6 months time.

Hello and seeking advice on the Sony DSCHX400V

Hello all. I'm new to this forum, and relatively new to birding in general. I'm about to buy my first proper(ish) birding camera, and I was torn between the Canon SX50 and the Panasonic Lumix FZ20. Then I came across the Sony DSCHX400V, which looks great but is very, very new. Does anybody here...
