Scratches on eyepiece
I recently sent a pair back to Swarovski with much worse of a mark on the objective lens. They sent them back and said that it wasn't worth replacing the lens because it had no effect on the image. If you got them at a good price, keep them and enjoy them. -

Does the BG Bino Guard work with the winged eye cups? Other suggestions?
I have a pair of the 8.5x42 SV's. I have the Swarovski winged eye cups and am currently using the ocular cover that came with the winged eye cups. I use the Rick Young harness and it works well for me, but the ocular cover that came with the winged eye cups is a bit tedious to play with. I... -

Best price from a legit dealer is?
Swarovski sets a minimum price the dealers can advertise them at. Dealer cost is right around 75% of MSRP. Using Eagle Optics website. MSRP is $3188, they have them advertised at $2869 which is what everyone seems to advertise them at, and dealer cost is probably around $2391. i don't know... -

Ultravid compared to UVHD's, and 1st Gen EL's.
Thank you guys, that's exactly what I was looking for. When I compared the HD's to the Swaro's, they lacked that little extra punch and wow factor. I am not enamored with the flat field. I love the Swaro 8.5 and don't notice the lack of depth in it very much, but find it much more noticeable in... -

I also wish they would make a EL model without the field flatteners. I know that I could get a 1st gen EL, but I love the ergo's and the new improvements of the Field Pro. -

Ultravid compared to UVHD's, and 1st Gen EL's.
I have looked through 8x and 10x SLC's, and 8.5x42, 10x42, and 10x 32 Swarovisions. The only one I have not been able to find at a dealer to look through is the 8x32. Everyone seems to be thrilled with it so I am anxious to check one out. I initially wanted 10x binoculars. I did a side by side... -

These were my fathers binoculars. They say Solsi lightweight on them and are 7x50. I am wondering if they are worth anything?
